Year 2008

Auch gibt es Neuigkeiten bei mir, was das Jahr 2008 angeht.
Nachdem ja unser Hauptsponsor Getränke Hoffmann sich entschlossen hat, nicht mehr mit uns weiter zusammen zu arbeiten und mein Sportlicher Leiter bis jetzt auch noch nichts auf die Reihe gebracht hat, habe ich mich entschlossen dem Radsport "ade" zu sagen und mich um meine berufliche Zukunft zu kümmern.
Ich hätte natürlich gerne noch weiter gemacht, aber unter den Voraussetzung natürlich nicht.
Ich hatte eine super Zeit bei meinen Teams, für welche ich fuhr, und möchte mich bei den ganzen Leuten natürlich bedanken, d.h. Sportliche Leiter, Masseure, Mechaniker und natürlich bei meinen Kolleginnen.
Desweiteren möchte ich mich auch bei meiner Familie bedanken, die mich auch immer unterstützt haben, wo es nur ging.
Bleibt mir erstmal zu sagen, das ich Euch viel Erfolg und alles Gute wünsche!

Also there are News about me for the Year 2008.
After our main sponsor "Getränke Hoffmann" decided to work not longer anymore with us together and my director sportif didn´t find any other, I decided to say bye bye to the cycling.
Of course I liked to make the cycling further, but not under those conditions.
I had a super time by all the teams, for which I rode and want to say a big thanks to all those people which supported me: those are the director sportifs, masseur, mechanics and of course all the riders.
Also I want to say a big thanks to my family, which are also supported me where ever they could.
So, at this point I can only say that I wish you all succes and Luck!

Biathlon-Worldcup Ruhpolding

Am 13. Januar habe ich einen Ausflug mit meinen Eltern zum Biathlon-Weltcup nach Ruhpolding (im Süden von Deutschland, fast Österreich). Auf dem Programm standen jeweils die Verfolgung der Frauen und der Männer.
Wir parkten unser Auto ausserhalb von Ruhpolding, um dann mit einem Pendlerbus zur Strecke zu fahren. Natürlich waren schon viele Leute unterwegs und so haben wir erst einmal eine Weile Schlange gestanden. Am Stadion angekommen, mussten wir uns noch Karten besorgen und auch das verlief problemlos. Wir hatten dann noch über eine Stunde Zeit, um uns einen guten Platz zu suchen, um den Wettkampf gut zu verfolgen. Wir gingen also der Menschenmasse hinter her und ziemlich schnell in einer 180 Grad Kurve stellten wir uns dann hin, um den Platz dann auch den ganzen Tag nicht mehr abzugeben ;).
Ich muss sagen, es war schon ein riesen Erlebnis, das man mal mit machen sollte, vorallem bei diesem super Wetter, was wir wieder hatten. Stimmung war die ganze Zeit, selbst zwischen den beiden Rennen wurde die Laola-Welle geschwungen.

I made a trip to the Biathlon Worldcup in Ruhpolding (south of Germany, near Austria) on 13. of January. On the program there was the pursuit of both woman and man.

We parked our car outside of Ruhpolding and drove with the bus to the stadium. Already a lot of people were out and so we had to wait a bit. After we arrived there we had to arrange some tickets, but that was also no problem. We still had one hour time to find a good spot and so we walked with all this thousand peoples and pretty soon we found a good spot in a 180 degrees corner, for which we fought the whole day ;).

But it was a nice experience, which you should also see once, especially with the wounderful weather which we had on this day. The whole time was party, even between the two race the "Laola-Wave" went.

New Year

Zuerst möchte ich Euch allen noch ein gesundes, glückliches und erfolgreiches Jahr 2008 wünschen!!! Ich hoffe Ihr seid alle gesund reingerutscht und habt einen guten Start erwischt!

First of all, I want to wish you all a healthy, happy and succesfull year 2008!!! Hope you all made it safe into the new year and had a good start!

Nachdem ich erstmal all meine ganzen Sachen zu meiner Eltern und Bruder gebracht habe, ging es dann zu Silvester für paar Tage zu meiner Tante nach Oberwiesenthal. Wir haben dann am 31. Dezember reingefeiert, es sollte allerdings auch nicht zu lange gehen (sowieso nicht bei mir, da ich immer noch ganz schön erkältet war), da am 01. Januar 2008 schon wieder eine lange Wanderung auf dem Plan stand und wir somit schon wieder um 08.30Uhr aus den Federn mussten. Um 10 Uhr haben wir uns dann mit Freunden von meiner Tante getroffen und dann stampften wir ca. 4Stunden durch den tiefen Schnee, um uns dann in einer Gaststätte wieder zu stärken, bevor es nochmal für ca. 1,5Stunden weiter ging und völlig erschöpft am Bahnhof ankamen. Von dort aus ging es dann mit einer alten Bimmelbahn nach Hause zu meiner Tante. Finally something to eat :)

After I brought all my things to my parents and brother, we drove for a few days for the New Years party to my aunt to Oberwiesenthal. We made a little party and celebrated into the year 2008, but it should be not such a long party (also because a was still very ill), because there was already a hiking-tour planned and we had to woke up already at 8.30 a.m. We met with some friends from my aunt at 10 a.m. and walked ca. 4hours through the deep snow to a restaurant, where we had a nice lunch, before we walked for another 1,5 hour to the trainstation. We drove with a very old train to my aunts home and arrived there very tired.
