Thüringen-Tour: Day 1

Gestern also unsere erste Etappe. Es war ein 4,2km Mannschaftszeitfahren, wobei es am Anfang 2km nur bergauf ging und hinzu kam, das ein starker Wind wehte. Also kein leichtes Zeitfahren. Wir starteten sehr gut und hatten an der Wende die drittbeste Zeit, doch auf dem Rückweg machte uns der Wind doch ganz schön zuschaffen und so fielen wir noch auf dem 8.Platz zurück. Es gewann das Team Raleigh Lifeforce um Zeitfahrweltmeisterin Karin Thürig, vor Bigla Cycling und T-Mobile. Das gelbe Trikot übernahm Priska Doppmann (Raleigh Lifeforce). Die heutige Etappe führt über 115km mit 3 Bergwertungen und 3 Sprintwertungen. Yesterday we had our first stage. It was a 4,2km Teamtimetrial, with a 2km climb direct at the beginning and another thing was that a strong wind was blowing. So it was no easy Timetrial. We started really good and had the 3rd best time at the turn, but on the way back the wind was too strong for us and so we finished on 8th place. The team Raleigh Lifeforce, with Timetrial-worldchampion Karin Thürig in it, won the Teamtimetrial before Bigla Cycling and T-Mobile. The yellow leaders-jersey got Priska Doppmann (Raleigh Lifeforce). Today the stage will be 115km long with 3 Climbssprint and 3 Sprintbonifications.

Krasna Lipa

1. Etappe
Es ging über 112,5km rund um Krasna Lipa. Es war ein gelungener Start. Wir wollten hier einen Etappensieg einfahren und das ist uns gleich auf der ersten Etappe gelungen....Wahnsinn!!!
Gela gewann und bekam dafür auch das Gelbe Trikot der Führenden.
2. wurde Suzanne de Goede (T-Mobil) vor Trixi Worrack (Nürnberg).
Ich kam mit 2min Rückstand als 47. ins Ziel.

1st stage
We had to do 112,5km around Krasna Lipa. It was a great start. We came here to win a stage and that happened direct in the first stage...unbelievable!!!
Gela won and got the yellow leaders-jersey.
2nd was Suzanne de Goede (T-Mobile) before Trixi Worrack (Nürnberg).
I became 47th...2min behind Gela.

2. Etappe
Da ist wohl jemand hungrig auf Etappensiege geworden???
Auch heute ging es über 112km, diesmal von Krasna Lipa nach Jirikov. Und wieder einmal war Gela überlegene Gewinnerin und konnte auch ihr Führungstrikot verteidigen.
2. wieder Suzanne de Goede vor Rasa Leleivyté (Litauen).
Ich wurde 51. mit 3:37min Rückstand.

2nd stage
I think somebody got hunger for the stagewins :).
We had to do the same distance as yesterday, this time from Krasna Lipa to Jirikov. And Gela won again....sovereign.
2nd was again Suzanne de Goede before Rasa Leleivyté (Lituania).
I got 51st with 3:37min behind the winner.

3. Tag: Doppeletappe
Früh: Zeitfahren von 21,2km in Bogatynia (Polen).
Da gibts nichts Besonderes zu berichten. Ich versuchte im Zeitlimit zu bleiben, da das ja nicht gerade meine Stärke ist.
Es gewann Kupfernagel (Deutschland) vor Worrack und Graus (Nürnberg).
Ich wurde 23. mit 3:42min Rückstand, verbesserte mich dadurch vom 51. auf den 34.Platz der Gesamtwertung.
Nachmittag: Jetzt mussten wir noch 90km Rund um Löbau absolvieren.
Ich ging gleich in die Attacke und kam mit einer Gruppe weg. Halben Weges überholte uns dann eine 5er Gruppe, mit den meisten Favouriten drin.
Gela belegte diesmal den 2.Platz hinter Graus (war alleine weggefahren) und vor Kupfernagel.
Ich wurde 7. und stieß auf Platz 15 der Gesamtwertung vor.

3rd day: Doublestage
Morning: Timetrial over 21,2km in Bogatynia (Poland).
Nothing exciting to tell, only that I tried to get the timelimit, cause it´s not my favourite ones.
Kupfernagel (Germany) won before Worrack and Graus (Nürnberg).
I got 23rd with 3:42min behind the winner and improved from place 51 to 34 in the General classification.
Afternoon: The race went over 90km around Löbau (Germany).
I attacked direct and got away with a group. Half way through the race a group, with most of the GC-contenders in it, past us.
Gela got 2nd behind Graus (she went alone away) before Kupfernagel.
I got 7th and went up to 15th in the GC.

5. Etappe

Die letzte Etappe führte uns von Varnsdorf nach Krasna Lipa über 99km.

Diesmal war Annelie in einer 3er Gruppe weggefahren und belegte den 2.Platz hinter Monika Schachel (Österreich), vor Edita Unguryté (Litauen).

Ich wurde 39. mit 8:21min Rückstand und in der Gesamtwertung fiel ich auf den 23.Platz zurück, trotzdem war ich zufrieden mit der Rundfahrt.

5th stage

The last stage went from Varnsdorf to Krasna Lipa over 99km.

This time Annelie was in a group with two other riders and got 2nd behind Monika Schachl (Austria) before Edita Unguryté (Lithuania).

I´ve got 39th with 8:21min behind the Austrian. I fall down in the GC to place 23, but was satisfied with the race.

Braunschweig

Letztes Wochenende hatten wir zwei Rennen in Braunschweig: Am Samstag ein Rundstreckenrennen von 40km, wo wir die ersten vier Plätze mit Steffi, Elke, Christina und mir belegten. Am Sonntag mussten wir 2 Runden rund um den Elm absolvieren, wo wir zwei mal einen 2km Berg hochfahren mussten, also recht anspruchsvoll. Ich musste Tribut zahlen von den vielen Attacken am Vorabend und so stand ich fast still am Berg. Jedoch belegte unser Team wieder die ersten 4 Plätze. Am Mittwoch geht es zur Krasna Lipa Rundfahrt. Danach werdet ihr wieder von mir hören. Bis dahin Liebe Grüsse Last weekend we had two races in Braunschweig. On Saturday we had a 40km crit, where we got the first four places with Steffi, Elke, Christina and me. On Sunday we had to do 2laps around the "Elm", where we had two times a 2km climb in it, so quite heavily. And I hadn´t the legs anymore after my many attacks the day before. But our team got again the first four places. On Wednesday we will drive to the Krasna Lipa Tour, which starts on Thursday. You will hear again from me after that. Until there Greetings

German Nationals

So, endlich war der große Tag gekommen, wo jeder in der Saison hinarbeitet: die Deutschen Meisterschaften. Sie fanden in Wiesbaden auf einem sehr bergigen Parcours statt und wir mussten 7Runden fahren, das bedeutete 110km. Wie immer hiess unsere Taktic: Angriff ist die beste Verteidigung und so attackierte Birgit gleich in der ersten Runde und bekam einen maximalen Vorsprung von 1Minute. Wieder eingeholt, begann ich zu attackieren, kleiner Vorsprung, aber auch wieder eingeholt. Und so probierten wir nun eine andere Taktic. Ich fuhr volles Tempo in den Berg rein und unsere Besten zogen das Tempo durch, so das dann endlich die entscheidende Gruppe entstand mit allen Favoriten für den Meistertitel. Am Ende setzten sich nochmal Luise Keller (Flexpoint) und Claudia Häussler (Nürnberger) von der Gruppe ab. Luise gewann dann vor Claudia. Aber die Überraschung gelang unserer Sprinterin Gela: sie kam nämlich noch auf´s Treppchen :-) . Was für ein gelungener Tag also für unser Team Getränke Hoffmann. Wir gewannen auch noch die Tages-Mannschaftswertung der Bundesliga und Steffi wurde 9, Tina 10, Virginia 14. und ich 16.

So, finally the big day had come, where everybody works to it in the season: the German Nationals.They took place in Wiesbaden (near Frankfurt/ Main) on a very heavy course and we had to do 7 laps, in total 110km.
As usual our tactic was: attacks are the best defense and so did Birgit the first attack in the first lap and got a gap of maximum 1minute. After she got caught, I started to attack, but got only a small gap and got also caught later. And so we tried another tactic as no other team didn´t do anything. I rode full speed with the half peleton in my wheel into the climb and our best riders took the speed over and look, the front group was made.
In the end Luise Keller (Flexpoint) and Claudia Häusler (Nürnberg) got away from that group. Luise won alone before Claudia. But the surprise was our sprinter Gela: she took the 3rd place...Congratz to her :)!!!
What a successful day for our team "Getränke Hoffmann": we won also the teamsclassification for the Bundesliga and Steffi got 9th, Tina 10th, Virginia 14th and I was 16th.
