Derney-Race....that's fun

Am Samstag war mal ein ganz anderes Rennen auf dem Programm. Ein sogenanntes Derney-Rennen über 45 km. Das heisst, wir mussten hinter einem Motorrad fahren, wo wir mehr Windschatten bekamen und somit auch schneller fahren konnten, als bei einem normalen Rennen. Wir mussten insgesamt 20 Runden fahren mit vielen Kurven darin. Normaler Weise steht bei diesen Rennen die Siegerin schon vorher fest, aber diesmal war es ein richtiges Rennen, naja zumindestens von Runde 10 an, davor war es bisschen Show und lag das Tempo nicht so hoch. Das Rennen gewann Sissy van Alebeek (Odysis) mit Micheal Zijlaard, vor Debby Mansveld (Vlaanderen) mit Herman Bakker. Ich wurde 3. mit Luc Uytfange. Solche Rennen sollten sie öfters organisieren, die machen richtigen viel Spass!!!

Am 30. September steht noch die Holländische Meisterschaft im Mannschaftzeitfahren für Clubs auf dem Programm, wo ich als Deutsche auch mitfahren darf (ja, letztes Jahr war ich mit meinem Team Meisterin ;-), also heisst es Titel zu verteidigen), aber im Moment weiss ich noch nicht, ob ich da mitfahre, weil kann mich im Moment dafür nicht mehr motivieren. Bin reif für die Insel!!!

On Saturday was for a change a different race on the program. It called Derney-race over 45 km. Let me explain it a bit: we had to ride behind a motorcycle, where we didn’t get all the wind from the front and so we were able to make a higher speed, than in a normal race. We had to do 20 laps with many corners in it. Normally by such races we know already, who will win and who will be on the next places, but this time it was a real race, or at least from lap 10 on, before that it was a little bit of a show and so the speed was not so high, but from lap 10 it was going full until the end. The race won Sissy van Alebeek (Odysis) with Micheal Zijlaard, before Debby Mansveld (Vlaanderen) with Herman Bakker. I became 3rd with Luc Uytfange. Such races should be organize often, its a lot of fun!!!

On the 30 September, there are the Dutch championships for clubs in the team time trial on the program, where I can start as a German also (yes, last year I won with my team the championships ;-), and so we have to defend our title), but at the moment, I don’t know if I will participate on it, because I can’t motivate myself for that longer. Looking forward to some sun and holiday :-)!!!
