Time Trial Nationals

Endlich mal wieder ein Rennen in meinem Heimatland und vorallem bei sonnigem und heissem Wetter. Am Freitag hatte ich meine erste Meisterschaft im Zeitfahren. Da die Strecke beinahe in Polen (in Forst) lag, fuhren Benny (er hatte 3 Mädchen von seiner Mannschaft zu betreuen) und ich schon am Donnerstag nach Cottbus. Dort angekommen probierte ich noch einmal mein TT-Rad aus.
Am Freitag hatte ich dann um 11.34 Uhr Start und wir mussten 30km absolvieren. Ich wollte unter die besten 20 kommen, belegte jedoch Platz 23 und war somit nicht ganz zufrieden.
Gleich nach dem Zeitfahren ging es dann nach Klingenthal (nochmal 350km im Auto), wo wir dann die Deutschen Strassenmeisterschaften am Samstag hatten.

Finally I could race again in my homecountry Germany and especially in sunny and hot weather. On Friday I had my first championship in the time trial. The course was hold near the border to Poland (in the city Forst), and so Benny (he had 3 girls of his team to look after as well) and I went and already on Thursday to Cottbus, where we had our hotel. After we arrived, I tried my TT-bike and did a little ride. On Friday my starttime was at 11.34a.m. and we must ride for 30km fullspeed. I wanted to come under the best 20, but placed only 23rd. It was a good time trial but I still wa not really satisfied about the place. Immediately after the time trial, we went to Klingenthal (again 350km in the car) where we had the German roadchampionship on Saturday.
